Iran Wins Title at 2021 Asia Pacific Deaf Football Qualifying Tournament

Defeating Iraq team, Iran team achieved title at 2021 Asia Pacific Deaf Football Qualifying Tournament.

Iran and Iraq were finalists of the tournament and the host country earned 3-2 victory over Iraq team to capture tournament title.

Mostafa HEYDARI, Hoseein MESBAHI and Alireza Basih (penalty) scored for Iran team.

The best teams of the tournament qualified to compete in 2022 Deaflympic Games in Brazil from Asia Pacific region.

7 teams competed in the tournament in two groups.

In group A, Iran, Iraq and Malaysia competed against each other as in group B, Uzbekistan, South Korea, Thailand and Afghanistan played.

2021 Deaf Football Olympic Qualifying tournament in Asia Pacific region was held in Iran, Kish Island (June 1-11).

Also in third place match, Uzbekistan beat South Korea 3-2, in extra time.
